Provide support and assistance to the Labor Relations unit, as well as to the HR Business Partners and HR Service Center regarding collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues. Assist the Communications and Project Manager on contract implementation and communications on labor relations matters.**Job Responsibilities**: Triage early stage labor relations issues (e.g., contractual inquiries and union information requests) and support basic investigations involving unionized employees. Provide assistance and support on the development of labor management education programs and communications materials, including the provision of logstical support and coordination for the Labor Relations unit. Participate in the delivery of basic labor management education, and ensure that the Labor Relations page of the Human Resources website is kept current. Routinely obtain comparable industry market data for jobs; create spreadsheets (including costing spreadsheets to support labor negotiations), analyze data and prepare summary reports. Follow labor relations trends in Higher Education, and keep the Labor Relations unit apprised of various changes. Provide support and assistance with respect to contract negotiations and other data collection.Required SkillsThe successful candidate must have at least 2 to 5 years of experience preferably in a labor relations support environment or an HR Service Center environment that supports represented and non-represented employees. The ability to think critically, work collaboratively with others, as well as demonstrate high quality written and oral communication skills. Possess technical proficiency in Excel, SAP, and ability to work in various databases.
