You are responsible for managing a BIM project from start to finish and you are capable of:
At the overall management level:
- Supporting the BIM Manager in establishing BIM processes and tools.
- Contributing to the development of the BIM Management Plan in collaboration with all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the overall project management goals.
- Ensuring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Defining BIM information workflows and key procedures.
- Identifying required BIM resources and providing training as needed.
- Creating a BIM schedule that aligns with the overall project timeline.
- Acting as the main point of contact for BIM internally, as well as with partners and subcontractors.
- Assisting in drafting the BIM technical requirements and defining subcontractors BIM responsibilities towards the Contractor.
- Organizing and chairing BIM coordination meetings.
- Reporting to the project design manager during the detailed design phase, and to the technical manager from construction documentation through to the handover phase.
At the information management level:
- Implementing BIM information workflows and key procedures.
- Facilitating reliable information exchange via a common data environment.
- Maintaining and updating information within the Information Model.
- Populating information exchange formats for the Information Model.
- Configuring data for Project Outputs.
- Collaborating with the ICT department to back up and restore BIM data.
- Providing remote access and managing access rights to BIM data for designated stakeholders, including subcontractors and clients.
- Supporting integrated design coordination through model compilation (identifying clashes without resolving them), often with the help of a BIM coordinator.
- Ensuring the consistency and quality of BIM models by performing QA/QC checks.
- Validating BIM models compliance with BIM standards with the support of BIM Leaders.
Note: The BIM coordinator does not hold design responsibilities!
- You hold a Masters degree in Construction or Architecture.
- You have worked as a BIM Coordinator with at least 3 years of experience in BIM. Experience on large projects (over 25M) is an advantage.
- You possess strong skills in at least one of the main modeling software tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla, or ArchiCAD).
- You are proficient in using BIM coordination software such as Revitzo, Navisworks Manage, and Solibri Model Checker.
- You have experience with Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms, with extensive knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) Docs & Build considered a plus.
- Familiarity with (open) BIM standards like IFC, IDM, IFD, COBie, and BCF is a plus.
- Experience with 4D and 5D BIM processes and tools is advantageous.
- Programming skills in Grasshopper or Dynamo are a plus.
- You are capable of prioritizing tasks effectively based on available time and resources.
- You have a solid understanding of construction processes and disciplines.
- You are able to lead a team to achieve success and provide regular, proactive feedback.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, with knowledge of French considered an asset.
