A rapidly scaling technology company in the low-power wireless space is hiring a Senior Field Application Engineer to drive customer success and solution adoption across Building and Tracking verticals. This hybrid role balances high-impact pre-sales engineering with a strong architectural and hands-on technical foundation. Youll be a key technical advisor during the sales process, architecting robust connectivity solutions, developing proofs of concept, and ensuring seamless evaluations all while acting as a trusted partner to customers navigating complex IoT deployments. Key Responsibilities Customer-Focused Architecture: Analyse customer use cases and design tailored, system-level IoT solutions PoC Development: Build, test, and demonstrate end-to-end solutions to validate fit and functionality Technical Guidance: Lead customers through evaluation phases and provide deep technical insights throughout the journey Trusted Advisor: Act as a strategic technical partner in pre-sales and early post-sales engagement Tooling & Enablement: Maintain developer-facing tools and documentation to support consistent experience and onboarding Release Management: Own the go-to-market process for new technical releases and updates What You Bring ~5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Field Application Engineer, Solutions Architect, or System Engineer ~ Proven pre-sales experience, with the ability to design scalable IoT solutions from concept to implementation ~ Deep knowledge of embedded systems and low-power wireless technologies (LoRa, Zigbee, Thread, or similar)~ Previous experience building PoCs, running technical evaluations, and solving customer problems in real-world deployments ~ Strong communicator who can advise both technical and commercial stakeholders ~ Background in the IoT or connectivity market ~ Comfortable working with developer platforms (e.g. GitHub, ShareFile) and managing ticketing systems Role Breakdown ~70% Pre-sales architecture & customer engagement ~30% Post-sales technical support and developer enablement This role goes beyond first-line support.
