RINA is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join its office in Genoa or Naples, Italy within the Civil Engineering Division.MissionThe role focuses on building structures design, configuring structures, choose appropriate building material and ensure the structural soundness of buildings and structures under the supervision of a principal engineer or a managing engineer..Knowledge of Italian codes and standard is required.Key AccountabilitiesDesign and analysis of structural elements to ensure they are safe, reliable, and cost-effectivePerform structural calculations on pressures, loads, and stressesConsider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately;Develop of engineering studies and analyses relevant to design, verification and certification of building structures; Provide technical advice on safe designs and constructionObtain planning and/or building regulations approvalAnalyze the configurations of the basic components of a structure;Monitor and inspect all work carried out by contractors to ensure structural integrityInspect the properties to assess their conditions and foundationsProvide direct day-to-day support and oversight of project elements, visit sites to take measurementsProvide direct or indirect support to engineers or engineering teams by gathering data for permit applications, submitting documentation to officials and other day-today dutiesDevelop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of more experienced engineersPrepare the technical deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings, etc.)Prepare progress technical reportsBe aware and understand the Quality Policy and ensuring that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMSEducationBachelors Degree in Building Engineering or Civil EngineeringQualificationsExperience: 4-5 years of experience in structural engineering or related fields.
