Job Responsibilities:
As a Material Handler, you will play a central role in ensuring the flawless flow of materials within our supply chain. Your responsibilities include:
- Receiving and checking consignments received at our local warehouse and booking them in SAP.
- Storing materials according to requirements, including operating the automated warehouse infrastructure (HBR).
- Provisioning production replenishment based on orders to support continuous production.
- Packing domestic and export shipments of samples and products for our customers and external partners.
- Handling shipments to external forwarders and following up on their progress.
- Supporting inventory management, cleaning, and other warehouse tasks to maintain stock levels.
- Preparing and collecting GxP documents for warehouse and logistics activities.
- Assisting in implementing new or improved logistics processes to optimize operations daily.
Education
- Completed logistics apprenticeship or equivalent education.
Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or supply chain, preferably in a GMP environment.
- Experience handling hazardous goods/chemicals, refrigerated, and frozen items (down to -150C) is preferred.
- Experience operating order pickers/forklifts (certified) for material handling is an advantage.
Skills
- Proficient in German, with good knowledge of English.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and precise in work execution.
- Independent, self-reliant, and well-structured.
- Collaborative, flexible, and solution-oriented team player.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Availability for on-call duties to support urgent material needs in manufacturing.
- Physical resilience required for lifting items and other physical tasks.
