Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin) Miejsce pracy: Zernica (pow. gliwicki) Technologies we use Expected Kotlin Java Micronaut K8s Github Kafka About the project The Senior Software Engineer with Kotlin is part of a six-person international senior team. The team is responsible for developing the Digital Data Exchange (DDE) system within the sports streaming function and the Betting Services products like event-driven sportsbook odds aggregator and betting platform providing markets and facilitating bet placement for tiers of bookmakers. The sports data platform provides customers with high-performance streaming and data manipulation services, ensuring the availability of low-latency statistical feeds across multiple sports. SSE is working with the teams technical lead to establish development practices and techniques that we will use going forward. SSE reports to the Tech Lead who is based in UK. Tech stack: - Kotlin - Java 21 - Micronaut - K8s - Github - Kafka - AWS - Event Driven Architecture Your responsibilities Developing and maintaining applications, tools and utilities within the data streaming platform with a focus on concise, readable and reliable code and quality over quantity Defining and maintaining coding standards, testing practices and delivery pipelines Advocating and performing non-hierarchical code reviews Producing concise and consistent technical documentation Researching and suggesting new technologies and concepts to improve platform availability and minimize latency Ownership of service test automation and load testing; working closely with QAActively pursuing personal and team development by using and improving in-house training facilities and utilizing third party resources Working with the technical lead to improve system security; keeping abreast of developments and versioning concerns. Our requirements Extensive experience developing applications using Kotlin and frameworks in commercial JVM role(s) Advocate of meticulous unit testing, integration testing and TDD; extensive knowledge of automated test, mocking Experience of development and deployment within a microservice architecture and observability Experience with containerisation software and container orchestration technology Extensive experience designing, developing and documenting client- facing RESTful and internal APIs Demonstrable history of successful personal development.
