About us
The Marketing department is based in Gorinchem, the Netherlands, and is established for the entire Damen Shipyards Group and all its divisions and endorsed brands. It''s an exciting time to join our Marketing team. New digital capabilities are expanding the possibilities of marketing campaigns in our B2B industry. As an intern for the Event Management team, you can play a role in expanding Damen as a brand within our industry and beyond.
The role
You will assist the Event Managers in organizing events in the dynamic world of shipbuilding. During the internship you will be planning, organizing, managing and coordinating all types of events, such as international conferences and exhibitions. You will make sure Damens brand identity is well presented during every event. We are looking for a student that is able to take on this project from September 2025 onwards!
Key accountabilities
For all these different type of events, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing and coordinating them. Through researching new event and exhibition possibilities, you will work on the event strategy of Damen. You can apply these findings by updating the design for event pages as well, so a very practical outcome on the results you get! Supervisory and support will be given by the event managers, whom you will be working closely with. Administrative tasks can be delegated to you, as well as supporting other ongoing activities at the Marketing Communications department.
