Project Description:
We''re looking for an experienced Head of Performance Management to join our team in Zurich. This role is perfect for someone who has deep expertise in both Avaloq and Oracle systems and is passionate about leading a team to drive performance improvements. You''ll play a crucial role in supporting the bank''s long-term strategy while managing a talented team of engineers and consultants in a dynamic, international environment.
As part of our evolving architecture, you''ll collaborate with various teams to implement innovative solutions and ensure the performance of critical systems. Your expertise will help guide the bank through its transformation, supporting everything from system performance analysis to team leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Performance Management team, providing guidance and supporting career development.
- Conduct performance analysis on systems including Avaloq, Oracle DB, and OpenShift, identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Analyze and optimize Oracle databases to ensure stability and high performance.
- Implement performance improvements and monitor their success.
- Provide 3rd-level support for ongoing operations and resolve complex issues.
- Support and consult on projects, contributing technical expertise.
- Collaborate with third-party providers (e.g., Swisscom, Avaloq, Oracle, IBM) to enhance system performance.
Skills
Must Have:
- Proven team leadership skills and experience managing a diverse technical team.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Avaloq or knowledge of the Avaloq Smart Client in-house framework.
- Oracle Database Administration experience with a focus on performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of the Avaloq core platform, including its database, object model, and PL-SQL.
- Service-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering results.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive continuous improvement.
- Self-starter with the initiative to tackle challenges independently.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking abilities.
- Basic knowledge of Unix and Windows environments.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of German is a plus.
