Under the supervision of the Manager and/or charge nurse, is responsible for the daily duties inherent in the scheduling of surgical bookings from the surgeons offices.Required Skills**Education/Experience**:High school graduate or equivalent is required.At least 1-2 years of demonstrated clerical and customer service experience as it relates to a hospital environmentMust have thorough knowledge of Operating Room scheduling proceduresHas experience in basic computer software programsDemonstrates ability to develop others in areas of continuous process improvement, and customer service, delivery and self-directed team work**Required/Preferred Skills**:Have knowledge of Medical TerminologyPossess knowledge of basic computer software programsTyping requirement (minimum 25-30 wpm)Good communication skillsRequires good analytical and problem solving abilityRequires maturity and ability to appropriately represent the department to other internal and external customersPrevious experience in a health care environment such as Central Scheduling/Call Center, Physicians office and/or other related health care experience is desiredRequired Experience
