We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer to help build out our high-load ad serving system, capable of handling over 3M requests/second under 300ms response time. Our backend platform team is a highly talented collaborative group of developers with a number of interesting technical challenges that will excite the best of superstars. You will get experience working with various technologies like Cassandra, Elastic Search, Aerospike, Kubernetes, Clickhouse and Kafka. Your responsibilities will depend on your years of experience and accomplishments. Experience: Required: 2 years of working experience with Java, Spring Theoretical knowledge or commercial experience in reactive programming, multithreading and concurrency (RxJava, CompletableFuture, etc) Experience with SQL DB (PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle) Experience with NoSQL DB (Mongo, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, etc) 2 years' experience in working in development teams doing daily commits into a single code base Desirable: Knowledge of database optimization Knowledge of Kafka, Elasticsearch Key Responsibilities: Develop features and performance optimization for our Java ad-serving application Implement complex targeting algorithms developed by our data science team into the core ad-serving flow About You: Proactive attitude towards improving processes and finding new solutions to challenging business problems Strong self-motivation, reliable and flexible team-player High attention to detail, ability to remain focused under pressure Good sense of humour :) Benefits: Flexible working schedule with a hybrid working model Annual performance bonus (up to 8%) One month of workation (work from any location worldwide for one month) Training budget About LoopMe: LoopMe was founded with the mission of closing the loop on brand advertising.
