Establish working relations with other consultants involved in related topics.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesFamiliarize with relevant policies and guidance from government, FAO, GEF, and scientific panels.Participate in team meetings, briefings, and presentations.Develop and submit a work plan to the project coordinator and FAO Brazil supervisors.Interview key stakeholders in coordination with Mamirau Institute and prepare reports.Identify and engage relevant stakeholders, record consultations.Gather feedback on draft documents and respond accordingly.Survey socio-environmental issues, including economic characteristics, socio-ethnic composition, physical and environmental features.Identify principal socio-environmental issues through secondary sources and stakeholder interviews.Assess project risks and develop a risk management plan.Prepare reports on stakeholder interviews.Propose implementation of FAO and GEF social and environmental guidelines, mainstreaming gender and intercultural issues.Coordinate with Mamirau Institute for indigenous consultations and FPIC protocols.Develop an Indigenous People Plan.Analyze socio-environmental safeguards and their relevance.Contribute to addressing cross-cutting issues like gender, intercultural approaches, and M&E.Participate in workshops and meetings, providing expertise and information.Undertake other tasks as mutually agreed.Candidate Assessment CriteriaFull university degree in environment, sciences, anthropology, ethnology, or equivalent.At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.Working knowledge (C level) of English and Portuguese.Brazilian nationality.Core Competencies and SkillsExperience working with indigenous communities and gender approaches.Excellent writing and data visualization skills.Familiarity with international socio-environmental policies.Additional NotesFAO does not charge fees at any recruitment stage.Applications after the deadline will not be accepted.Educational qualifications must be from recognized institutions per WHED/UNESCO.Additional employment info available on FAO''s website.#J-18808-Ljbffr
