Your role
As a Senior Credit Officer Lombard at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will work closely with a Lombard team of highly competent and experienced specialists to structure new transactions, manage a substantial portfolio of Lombard limits, and provide high-quality work as an experienced, committed, and dynamic professional, both as a business enabler and credit risk manager.
Your responsibilities
- Management of Lombard credits and structured Lombard credit transactions, advisory to Relationship Managers, Department and Regional Heads, risk-appropriate credit analyses based on the Banks Credit Policy, credit decisions, and transaction execution.
- Provide solutions and risk-oriented support to the sales organization, pro-actively working with Private Banking teams and key stakeholders in structuring standard and non-standard credit proposals.
- Propose credit transactions to the relevant authority level and execute approved transactions, including documentation and perfection of security.
- Process periodic credit reviews, credit limit requests, and portfolio overviews.
- Provide ongoing support to Management regarding the identification and management of credit risks using a holistic approach; support in structuring new credit products, drafting policies and guidelines, and project management.
- Promote an integrated team and share knowledge, experience, and best practices.
- Promote a strong risk culture within the Bank and improve coordination and communication with the national & international network of the Bank.
- This is an office-based role.
Your profile
- Higher education in Banking, Business, or Finance; any additional education in the Credit area is a plus.
- 10+ years of practical experience in Lombard credit, credit risk, Lombard structuring, or Lombard advisory, preferably in a private bank.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills; knowledge in Avaloq is a plus.
- Strong analytical and technical skills combined with an ability to apply these practically and in a balanced manner.
- Well-organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
