eCommerce Specialist, Utrecht

This role is pivotal in transforming our digital growth by building on our existing digital shelf capabilities, driving digital retail media strategies, and implementing test & learn initiatives to enable exceptional shopper experiences online. Youll do this for our entire product portfolio (e.g. Arla Biologisch, Arla Skyr, Melkunie Breaker, Starbucks). Together with the eCommerce team you will maintain our FMCG leadership position for eCommerce (#1 Advantage) and continue to drive eCommerce growth.

The Role

In this role you''ll play a key role in executing Arlas ambitious digital shelf strategy, including optimizing the digital shelf, driving visibility and conversion with our retailers. Youre also leading digital sales activations across accounts for our complete portfolio. Ensuring that all brand and product content is accurate, search optimized and consistent across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Retail Media & Activation Campaigns

• Develop, implement, and optimize (omnichannel) marketing campaigns in collaboration with brand teams and retail media partners.
• Oversee (self service/biddable) digital retail media campaigns, partnering with internal teams to maximize efficiency based on objectives (such as ROI and conversion).
• Plan, execute and evaluate sales activations (e.g. free deliveries, cross selling).

Digital Shelf Strategy & Fundamentals

• Implement and execute digital shelf fundamentals (e.g. content, search optimization) in line with global best practices and leverage:
• Perfect digital shelf execution across retailer platforms, ensuring seamless brand visibility and engagement.
• Tools like Digital Shelf Analytics to identify actionable insights for optimization and innovation.

Content Excellence & Syndication

• Lead eCommerce content creation and optimization, ensuring A+ content, imagery, and product descriptions deliver brand excellence on retailer platforms.
• Oversee content syndication across pure play, bricks-and-clicks, quick commerce to ensure consistency and relevance.

Customer-Centric Approach

• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, aligning digital shelf and retail media initiatives with retailer strategies and priorities.
• Always seek opportunities to enhance the shopper experience and optimize digital touchpoints.

Test & Learn

• Drive test & learn agenda in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Share test & learn cases across our global eCommerce Community.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a results-driven eCommerce Professional with a proven track record in eCommerce, digital retail media and digital shelf management, ideally within an FMCG environment. You have 3+ years of experience in digital shelf management, content optimization, and retail digital media execution. You have a strong understanding/interest of retailer strategies, trends, priorities and objectives. You have experience using digital shelf analytics tools, biddable digital (retail) media. Furthermore, youre able to manage multiple projects simultaneously thanks to your excellent organizational skills. Finally, you are fluent in Dutch and English.
