About our client
Our client is an established private equity firm with an outstanding track record across multiple funds. The fund invests into and grows SMEs across Europe employing a successful buy & build strategy. With freshly raised capital, they are now looking to expand their team at senior level with an experienced Investment Director/Manager to act as a Deal Captain. The role will incorporate all aspects of the deal cycle from execution through to portfolio management, offering a highly attractive long term career prospect within a highly dynamic team.
What the job involves
- Identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities for the firm through own research and expert interviews.
- You will act as fully responsible deal captain, taking the lead in the execution of new deals in the DACH region as well as in the active management of existing and new portfolio companies.
- Presenting the firm externally and independently, meeting founders and owners of potential targets as well as other relevant stakeholders such as M&A advisors and financing partners.
- You will mentor and manage juniors in the deal team.
Who we are looking for
- Several years of experience in direct private equity.
- A down to earth style and ability to engage with the German speaking Mittelstand across the DACH region.
- Experience and presence to independently lead due diligence workstreams.
- Proven track record in portfolio management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and native level German.
- Highly motivated, ambitious, hard-working, but humble in attitude towards founders, owners and intermediaries.
