Role Overview
The Associate Power & Utilities will play a key role in managing power grid assets and executing acquisitions within the infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities while working closely with senior leadership, asset management teams, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and execution of power grid asset acquisitions, including due diligence, financial modeling, and transaction structuring.
- Manage the performance of existing infrastructure assets, ensuring operational efficiency and long-term value creation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, utilities, and investment partners.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strategic investment opportunities.
- Prepare investment memoranda, board presentations, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
- Oversee asset management strategies, including risk assessment, performance tracking, and value enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and financial teams to ensure smooth transaction execution and asset integration.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure investments, power utilities , private equity, investment banking, or asset management.
- Strong expertise in power grid asset management and infrastructure acquisitions.
- Proven financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution skills.
- Understanding of energy market regulations, grid infrastructure, and utility sector dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific platforms).
