Store Keeper


Role Purpose:


This role is essential for ensuring the proper organization and handling of goods, materials, and products within a store or storage facility. Here''s a sample Junior Storekeeper Profile:



Key Accountability:


-Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing inventory.

-Perform routine stock checks and stock-taking.

-Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to the storekeeper or supervisor.

-Assist with the maintenance of accurate inventory records using inventory management software or manual systems.

-Unload deliveries and ensure items are stored in appropriate areas.

-Sort and label goods as per company guidelines.

-Ensure that all products are stored safely and securely.

-Organize stock shelves and storage spaces for easy access and retrieval.

-Assist in the picking and packing of goods for customer orders.

-Prepare items for shipment or delivery.

-Help ensure orders are processed efficiently and accurately.

-Monitor shelf stock levels and assist in restocking shelves when necessary.

-Report any damaged or expired goods to the supervisor.

-Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling goods and operating equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

-Maintain a clean and organized working environment to prevent accidents or stock damage.

-Assist customers with product inquiries and find requested items.

-Maintain a pleasant and helpful demeanor when interacting with customers or staff.



Working Experience & Qualification:

-High school diploma or equivalent.

-Prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or inventory management role is a plus.

-Familiarity with safety standards in handling and storing goods is an advantage.

-Good numeracy skills for stock counting and record-keeping.


Skills, Knowledge & Requirements:

- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in stock counting, labeling, and documentation.

-Organizational Skills: Ability to keep inventory systems and physical spaces orderly.

-Communication: Clear communication with team members, supervisors, and customers.
