About the role and business unit

Springer Healthcare France provides Medical Communications services to the local French affiliates of global pharmaceutical companies, as well as to the head offices of those Pharma companies with their global HQs in France.

Our dedicated team oversees the production of scientific papers, manuscripts, medical education content (videos, e-learning, podcasts, live meetings), advisory boards, clinical reports, and other scientific content.

Your responsibility will be to lead, direct, and coordinate the Springer Healthcare French operations to meet sales, revenue, cost, and profit targets, ensuring business success and growth in France.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure sales, revenue, and profitability targets and budgets are met for France.
• Deliver organic growth in revenues and operating income.
• Manage budgets and collaborate on long-term strategies.
• Provide market insights and monitor KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Leadership

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify new opportunities and build relationships with clients and partners.
• Analyze sales data for trends and improvements.
• Represent the company at industry events.
• Report on sales performance and market trends.

Team and Strategic Direction

• Manage and guide sales, production, and editorial teams.
• Foster a positive work environment and ensure effective communication.
• Lead hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Travel domestically for client meetings.

Global Collaboration

• Assist in strategic planning aligned with global Healthcare strategies.
• Coordinate with global teams and share best practices.
• Provide market intelligence and maintain knowledge of Healthcare products and services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical industries, preferably in Scientific, Sales, or Publishing.
• Proven leadership and change management skills.
• Experience working in a matrix environment and managing an office.
• Budget and financial management experience.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, therapeutic areas, and drug development.
• Degree from college/university.

• Strategic thinking and sales ability.
• Persuasive, articulate, and skilled negotiator.
• Ability to influence and manage staff.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

The position is based in Paris, with a hybrid working pattern, full-time.
