Description of the department
The Metrology & Validation team is responsible for the maintenance, qualification, and validation of laboratory analytical instruments and equipment across multiple laboratories and departments within the company. Metrology projects include instrument/equipment purchase, qualification/validation, and new software implementation.
Job overview
We require an experienced Project Manager to support the planning, readiness, and execution tracking of team projects. Your role will involve clearly defining, coordinating, managing, and tracking all projects within the scope of the Metrology team to ensure success.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Preparation and management of project schedules for Metrology projects, including instrument/equipment qualification and new software implementation.
- Routine preparation of project status updates for key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with US Metrology teams to develop and manage standard work templates for routine projects and implement a standardized project prioritization process.
- Assist with purchase order preparation and budget tracking specific to the projects managed.
Requirements for the position
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly valued.
- Proficiency with MS Project, SmartSheets, Power Project, or other project management software is required.
- Degree or certification in project management is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience.
- Experience in the Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or regulatory industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- English language proficiency at C1 level is mandatory; German language skills are a plus.
A day in the job
You will attend daily project update and stakeholder meetings, participate in weekly team meetings, and manage Power Project schedules and updates from key contributors. The role involves working across EU and US teams to implement project management practices.
