A growing biotech in Paris are developing advanced optical microchip sensors capable of monitoring multiple molecules and key parameters within active biochemical processes. These innovations are used in sectors like pharmaceuticals, food, and sustainable energy to reduce waste and improve efficiency, whilst providing real time motinoring
Were looking for a Bioprocess Technician to join theApplications team. In this hands-on role, you''ll run and oversee small-scale fermentations using shake flasks and bioreactors, generating high-quality process data to support calibration and development of next-generation sensor technologies.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the interface of biotechnology and photonics, contributing directly to the development of cutting-edge process monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
Upstream Monitoring Fermentation Support
- Prepare and operate small-scale fermentations using shake flasks and bioreactors
- Monitor key process parameters and ensure process stability
- Assemble, clean, sterilize, and disassemble bioreactor equipment
- Prepare media, feeds, buffers, and perform probe calibrations following SOPs
- Handle microbial strains (e.g. bacteria, yeast, mammalian cells) under sterile conditions
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, including sample traceability and data logs
- Organize and format results to support further data analysis and model development
General Laboratory Support
- Document procedures and contribute to technical reports and lab notebooks
- Maintain fermentation equipment and troubleshoot technical issues
