This role gives you the opportunity to directly shape how sports data is used by major broadcasters, media outlets, and professional clubs worldwide. If youre passionate about working at the forefront of sports analytics, wed love to hear from you!
responsibilities :
Respond to daily ad-hoc data requests from internal teams and clients.
Design compelling data visualizations for use in the media.
Educate internal and external teams on new Stats Perform outputs.
Provide critical feedback to the AI team as the first users of their models.
Create and support content for the Opta Analyst website.
Develop tools (e.g., Shiny, Flask) to enhance access to Stats Performs AI models.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis projects for media and professional sports clients.
requirements-expected :
Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
Experience with data analysis and presenting insights through visualizations.
Proficiency in a coding language (preferably Python and/or R).
Experience using football data, either professionally or as a hobby.
Ability to showcase existing work with sports data (e.g., code repo or social media).
An in-depth understanding of football and its applications in data-driven analysis.
