About the Role:

As Legal Counsel, you will be a key member of the legal team, providing comprehensive legal support across various areas including corporate governance, contracts (with a main focus on B2B commercial contracting), IT and Telco law and regulatory compliance, employment law, and risk management. You will work closely with senior management, and external legal partners to mitigate risks and ensure that the company operates within legal and regulatory frameworks. As a Legal Counsel, you will work directly with and report into the General Counsel. You will be one of the legal counsels supporting the business across Europe and one of the legal counsels supporting the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support to the organization in all areas, including contracts, corporate governance, employment and regulatory compliance
• Develop and implement legal strategies to minimize risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Act as the multi-disciplinary advisor for all the relevant Expereo departments in commercial and legal matters.
• Negotiate, draft and review international commercial contracts.
• Support RFP processes and product development.
• Identify commercial and legal risks arising from proposed deals and projects.
• Provide commercial/legal contract training to the Expereo purchase and sales department.
• Monitor (changes in) relevant law and regulations in your region and where needed advice and act upon.
• Identify the need for external legal advice and engage appropriate outside counsel on a range of legal and regulatory compliance issues across Expereo Group. Management of outside counsel, including budgets.
• Work with other Expereo departments across the globe like, procurement, product development and solution engineering to identify issues affecting Expereo globally and to ensure consistency of advice.
• Provide general support to the General Counsel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school;
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department;
• IT, Telco or SI experience is preferred;

Skills Competencies:

• Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and management;
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
• A good understanding of legal issues and experience in a dynamic and international work environment;
• Customer and business focused;
• Proactive and team worker, flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and set priorities.
