Facilitates patient access into the health care system for all patients admitted to and arriving for outpatient or ED services. The Registrar supports the admission and registration process by collecting and processing accurate information related to the patient, the payer and the physician. Verifies complete orders, referrals, precertification and, authorizations if required. Staff services patients in Outpatient Registration, Womens Center, SDS Center, Emergency Department and at the bedside. Staff will support the Bed Control Team when necessary. Assures patient access responsibilities support all regulatory and corporate compliance standards.
