System Engineer - OIL GAS DOMAIN
Work location: Florence
Overview:
The System Engineer will be responsible for the design of Auxiliaries Systems for electric motor or turbine driven compression trains, turbogen and turboexpanders applications in the Oil Gas industry. He/She will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity, as well as incorporating new cost-effective design solutions.
In its role, the System Engineer shall be able to perform the following main activities:
- consistency of system design with respect to customer requirements, customer standards and industry standards
- design/calculation and selection of main system components such as condensers, heat exchangers, pumps, cooling towers, recovery heat steam generators, control valves, on/off valves, boosters, heaters, pressure containing vessels, orifices, filters
- system integration with respect to piping class, material selection, instrument selection and installation
- calculation of process transients and high level definition of control logic
- manage design reviews, both internal and with customer
- delivery of documentation in scope according to planning (i.e. PID, etc.)
Work Experience
Background/Requirements
- Technical Diploma / BSc / MSc Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Automation Engineering
- Expertise in systems calculation using dedicated tools
- Expertise on industry standards and key customer requirements
- Knowledge of specifications and standards required for the development of PIDS as symbology, lines and instrumentations numbering, equipment tagging, drafting requirements etc.
- Deep knowledge of process design criteria for line sizing and pressure drop calculations
- Expertise on turbomachinery operations and controls
- Extensive knowledge of package integration with focus on mechanical and instrument disciplines
- Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Knowledgeable in using the following tools: Autocad, PidXP, Matlab/Simulink, FlowMaster, Hysys, Teamcenter, Rulestream
