Location: Bergamo, ItalyChaberton ProfessionalsDivision of Chaberton Partners dedicated to the search and selection of Middle Management profiles, is currently seeking a Proposal Engineer (Cost Estimator) for a leading company in the oil & gas sector.The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing technically and economically competitive offers, based on careful analysis and cost estimation, collaborating with the sales team, other company functions, and suppliers.Main Activities:Analyze project specifications to prepare time estimates, material costs, and manufacturing activity schedules (internal and external).Perform mechanical calculations of pressure components (pressure parts) according to international calculation codes.Analyze actual costs against bids for acquired projects.Consult with clients, suppliers, and other departments to discuss and formulate estimates aiming for continuous improvement in costs and delivery times, also critically analyzing historical data.Coordinate with the Purchasing Department to keep the list of suppliers and contractors updated.Conduct activities to establish the company''s standard manufacturing costs.Participate in project definition meetings with the client and project opening meetings.Prepare reports and analyses related to cost estimation.Prepare the technical offer, including deviations and clarifications to project specifications.Requirements:Bachelor''s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.At least three years of experience in costing equipment, especially shell & tube heat exchangers for oil & gas applications.Deep knowledge of mechanical calculations of pressure components according to international codes such as ASME.Knowledge of technical specifications of materials for pressure services (ASME II and equivalents).Experience in evaluating manufacturing cycles of pressure equipment and related timelines.Knowledge of mechanical drawing and CAD design.Professional proficiency in English.Problem-solving orientation.Goal-oriented attitude.Preferred skills: experience with equipment for Ammonia, Urea, Ethylene, Methanol, Hydrogen, Power plants.Preferred: skills related to high-pressure fire-tube boilers.Basic knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.#J-18808-Ljbffr
