A Japanese company based in Paris is currently recruiting a Japanese-speaking Approval Assistant.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating an enabling environment for the fulfilment of obligations in quality of finished products and usage of provided materials under the contract between rights holders/Publishing Licensing Division and local publishers.
Native level of fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and business level fluency in English are required in this role.

Japanese-speaking Approval Assistant Main Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Approval teams and Licensing teams to ensure that contents of licensed works is published in line with our company and rights holders guidelines, in both print and digital editions
- Proceeds of design approvals of cover files of local edition and marketing items
- Coordinates the approval process that the licensed works can be printed and published according to licensees plan
- Archive final approved design files of books and promotions in the right place
- Control quality of finished print books of local edition
- Ensure all required information are documented in various tracking lists
- Help in inventory control of Japanese sample books and magazines for the internal Publishing Licensing team, including order placement for newly published Japanese books
- Support the Material & Reference team to ensure smooth shipping and delivery of data and working copies to licensees
- Help in preparation of regular shipping of print book samples furnished by local publishers to rights holders
- Controls quality of e-pub files submitted by local publishers before online-delivery
- Business trips may be needed to participate to various Licensing Exhibitions, notably throughout Europe
Japanese-speaking Approval Assistant Ideal Candidate:
- Native level fluency in Japanese and business level fluency in English for both writing and speaking
- More than 2 years of professional experience within office environment
- Experience working in international environment/global companies are welcome
- Good command in office packages
- Open-minded, punctual, communicative, attentive, respectful
- Understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill is essential
