Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) Power Plants & Turbine Systems

Main Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful start-up and performance of power generation systems, including turbines and auxiliary equipment. Your tasks will include:
- Planning and executing the commissioning of turbine systems (steam, gas or hydro) and associated balance-of-plant components
- Performing system functional checks, equipment calibration, and operational tests
- Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues during start-up
- Supervising and coordinating on-site activities with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical procedures, and project specifications
- Preparing and maintaining detailed commissioning documentation (checklists, test reports, punch lists)
- Providing training and technical support to client operation teams
- Contributing to continuous improvement and feedback for engineering and design teams
Your Profile:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering (or related field)
- 27 years of experience in commissioning of industrial or power generation equipment (turbines, generators, etc.)
- Strong understanding of thermodynamic cycles, instrumentation, and control systems
- Experience with commissioning procedures, FAT/SAT, and troubleshooting complex systems
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 5070% of the time depending on project phase)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in English (German and/or French are a plus)
