Our goal is to unlock the full potential of each colleagueempowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add value to our customers and AIG.How you will create an impactDrive profitable growth in M&A by working on creative solutions for complex risks. Underwrite a range of new and renewal business, leveraging your relationship-building skills.Work closely with brokers to communicate risk appetite and our value proposition. Understand deal structures, terms, and products that meet clients needs. Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.Generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building relationships across the market. Collaborate with AIG Distribution, territory managers, and other underwriters to target desirable accounts and cross-sell opportunities.Set high standards of customer service for brokers and clients, serving as a role model for junior colleagues. Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to less experienced underwriters and support their broker network development.What youll need to succeedProven underwriting experience, with good knowledge of M&A.Ability to analyze financial statements.Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.Good organizational and time management skills.Customer and sales-oriented behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.An interest in mentoring and training, especially if you have not previously held these duties.Reimagining insurance to make a bigger differenceAmerican International Group, Inc.
