This ensures a competitive and quality level of service while respecting the deadlines agreed with customers.About the Role: As a member of the DC Operations team and reporting to the Datacenter Manager, the DC IT/RUN maintenance Technician ensures the proper functioning of the data center infrastructure by securing equipment installation and maintenance, which guarantees the equipments continuity of service. The role requires working on-call on a team rotation basis.Responsibilities:Contribute to datacenter systems architecture and ensure 1st level supportOptimize racks for new serversConnect power and network cables within server and network racksWire incoming cables and networks within the racks respecting wiring schemesInstall / Uninstall servers as required by the DC Team Leader and in accordance with the operational planAssemble and install computer hardware (assemble / install / upgrade/ update servers)Adhere to health and safety rules and regulatory requirementsEscalate incident tickets to Level 2 support where appropriateComplete interventions on equipment in response to monitoring alerts or customer ticketsUpgrade servers (change obsolete components)Undertake curative maintenance on delivered serversTroubleshoot technical issues using various tools: network, serversUnderstand and maintain cabling systemsReplace failed networking devices within racksImplement actions to resolve problems related to the server environmentEnsure servers are functioning properly via analysis and monitoringUse the right tools and keep asset databases up to date: stock, assets, status, actions, etc...Assist team members with other relevant maintenance tasks within the DatacenterCoordinate activity with all 24/7 teams and help improve customer relationsContribute to the continuous improvement of the department, meeting the requirements set out in the quality management systemHelp maintain good customer relations and satisfaction dailyShare information between maintenance agents and provide reports to the Team LeaderRespect the schedule and targets set by the Team LeaderQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent in electronics / IT / MaintenanceMinimum of 2 years experience in a similar roleExperience building and maintaining computersRequired Skills:Keen interest in IT and computer hardware products/componentsAdvanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniquesPhysically capable and available to work weekends, public holidays, and eveningsEffective problem-solving skillsTeam player with excellent communication skillsOrganized, autonomous, and adaptableBasic knowledge of computer networkingWell-organized with the ability to prioritize tasksCustomer-centric approachAutonomousAttention to detail and solution-oriented mindsetPositive, energetic, and proactive attitudePreferred Skills: Not specifiedPay range and compensation package: Not specifiedEqual Opportunity Statement: OVHcloud is committed to diversity and inclusivity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
