The Opportunity : Business Development Manager

This position is open within Merchant Service SMB Department and report to the Head of Business Development Benelux POS.

As regional Business Development Manager, you are in charge of developing new business opportunities with new clients with a main focus on medium & large businesses.

You are responsible for the development of a new client portfolio.

You support and advise these businesses on their payment needs & solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the development of a new client portfolio in your region but will also support on accounts located in the rest of the country if needed
• You support and advise these businesses on their payment needs & solutions.
• You visit on a regular basis medium and large sized prospects to develop new business opportunities.
• You reach out actively to potential prospects via cold calling, based on data base research.
• You also follow-up on leads received via other channels.
• You negotiate, and close deals in in a slightly longer sales cycle (1-3 months)
• You participate in networking events

Who Are We Looking For

• You have preferably a Bachelor degree in a relevant field, or equivalent by experience
• Fluent in Dutch with knowledge of English & French is a plus.
• You are a real sales hunter, with the needed perseverance to succeed
• You are interested in retail
• You have a nose for commercial opportunities
• You gain quickly organizational and market insight
• Result driven team player, selling gives you the yessss-feeling
• You experience targets as a challenge, rather than a stress
• Ability to work on own initiative and stick to tight deadlines
• You have a strong interest in technical products
• Strong communication skills
• Administration preciseness & follow-up of your sales activities is a key ability
