You will play a key role in mechanical design for cutting-edge data centre projects, collaborating with an in-house multidisciplinary team of experts. As part of our internationally recognized team, your contributions will directly impact on the reliability, sustainability, and profitability of critical data infrastructure worldwide.Your roleAs a Lead Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Leading a team of mechanical engineers and supervise the project execution and deliveryCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, clients, and other specialists, to ensure seamless project integrationManaging and delivering mechanical work packages across multiple projectsWriting technical specifications and reports to support project executionAssisting project managers with cost estimations and risk assessmentsDeveloping and maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring continuous technical developmentEvaluating proposals and providing recommendations for vendor selectionIdentifying the scope, design, and management objectives and delivering project documentation while ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors, and regulatory authoritiesReviewing contractor pre-qualifications and preparing tender evaluation summaries for tender reviewsLiaising with Internal and External Stakeholders (clients) and ensuring exists a flowing and continuous communication on an ad-hoc and formal basisRepresenting Royal HaskoningDHV in factory acceptance tests and site commissioning activities What you bringDegree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering for industrial building services or data centre projectsExperience delivering project with 3D/BIM modeling tools such as RevitStrong communication skills in English; additional languages such as Spanish/German/Dutch are a plusFlexibility to travel, as our clients are based in various locations nationally and internationallyAbility to think strategically and formulate innovative plans and solutions.
