This position is responsible for providing service driven human resources partnership to a specified group of departments in a way that is consistent with Maine Medical Centers Employer of Choice philosophy. Serves as primary employee relations contact and Human Resources liaison for employees and managers in the areas of Human Resources policies and procedures interpretation, employee relations, retention, conflict resolution, performance management, employment law, and other functional areas of Human Resources where necessary. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Associates degree with at least 5 years in Human Resources or related field. Bachelors Degree preferred.Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including workforce planning, employee relations, compensation practices, training, union avoidance, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws. PHR or SPHR is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, consulting, conflict management, presentation, communication, organization, computer skills (MS Office Suite, e-mail and internet) required. Excellent consulting and conflict management skills.Strong business literacy skills in both verbal and written communication Self-directed, motivated and diplomatic.
