Position: System Engineer - Battery Energy Storage Systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure product compliance with regulatory standards across multiple countries.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee change management processes.
- Define and implement test programs to validate system performance and safety.
- Apply DFx principles (Design for Quality, Cost, and Safety) throughout the development cycle.
- Maintain system documentation and manage certification processes for battery systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure system functionality aligns with client expectations.
- Design, develop, test, and qualify battery storage systems, including Battery Monitoring and Battery Management Systems.
- Select and integrate components, create electrical schematics, and support system installation.
- Approve systems for Factory Acceptance Testing and ensure all certifications are met.
- Utilize electrical design software (preferably AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN) to support system development.
What We''re Looking For:
- A bachelor''s or master''s degree in electronics or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in system engineering or system integration.
- Strong background in electronics, including inverter design, battery management systems, and high-voltage systems.
- Experience with FMEA, safety systems, unit testing, and test methodologies.
- Proficiency in IoT technologies and communication protocols such as CAN, RS485, Modbus, and IP networking.
- Familiarity with European electrical installation standards (e.g., NEN1010 or IEC 60364).
- Technical knowledge of industry-specific products and processes.
