Position Summary:
As a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor at Ochama, you will be responsible for overseeing the warehouse''s outbound operations during night shifts. You will ensure the efficient, accurate, and timely dispatch of goods while maintaining operational excellence. This hands-on role requires leadership, problem-solving skills, and close coordination with warehouse teams to optimize performance and maintain a smooth workflow throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Supervision:
- Lead and supervise night shift warehouse staff to ensure smooth outbound operations.
- Monitor workflows, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards.
- Address and resolve operational challenges related to order fulfillment, inventory management, and dispatching.
Team Coordination:
- Provide guidance and support to warehouse personnel, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.
- Work closely with transport teams, customer service, and logistics partners to meet delivery deadlines.
- Conduct shift briefings to communicate key priorities and updates.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, dispatch efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance operational performance.
- Prepare shift reports highlighting productivity, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
Process Optimization:
- Continuously review and enhance warehouse procedures to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Implement best practices in warehouse management and encourage team adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and automation tools to streamline outbound logistics.
Requirements:
Availability:
- Full availability to work night shifts, including weekends and peak periods.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Experience:
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision, logistics, or outbound operations.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Previous leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Other:
- Knowledge of the retail or e-commerce sector is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak business periods.
