Our client is global leader in paints, coatings and speciality materials, and due to maternity leave they are currently hiring a S trategic Sourcing Specialist Business Services Marketing (Indirect Procurement) (40 hours, hybrid) in Amsterdam. All applicants MUST have full legal authorization to work in the EU region independently and be fluent in both spoken and written English language. The offer Temporary agency contract via Grafton Start: ASAP / End: 31 December 2025 (possible extension 1-2 months) Salary can be discussed depending on experience: 5.000,- gross per month based on 40 hours; since we have a weekly payment and not monthly this would be a gross salary per hour: 28,85 excl. 8,33% holiday allowance, excl. travel expenses, work-from-home allowance of 2,40 per day; Note: Travel expense is based on 0,23 per KM up to a maximum of 40KM one way when working on site. The role The Sourcing Senior Specialist is responsible for strategically managing of all Business Services and Marketing sourcing related activities (Services Products) including negotiating agreements that optimize the total value for PPG in compliance with established purchasing policies. They will be responsible for overseeing projects and supplier relationships. This role will support the execution of Global and European strategies, conduct RFPs, lead the selection of suppliers and monitor compliance. Support to the Sourcing Managers in the Business Services Marketing area will be part of the job scope. This will mean the assistance in data gathering, engagement and execution in European Global projects. Responsibilities may also be European or Global in defined categories. The Sourcing Senior Specialist plays a critical role developing and implementing projects, with a country or regional perspective, to strategically source the following areas: Outsourced Services, Consultancy (Legal, HR, Finance), Finance Services, Professional Services. Travel, Fleet, Marketing Services (Agencies, Media), Marketing Products (Color Tools, Print, Promotional Items, POS/Shop Fixture). Project management includes stakeholder communication, spend analytics/mapping, external market analysis, strategic sourcing development and execution (reverse auctions, RFX, focused negotiations, etc.), contract/service level agreements, and vendor management. The incumbent will be delegated purchasing authority up to a certain dollar amount, referring all transactions in excess to the appropriate level of authority and complying with all Corporate Purchasing policies and procedures. Principal responsibilities: Support Sourcing Managers in Business Services Marketing in the strategy preparation and execution. Drive the implementation of strategy related projects. Provide support and direction for stakeholders and procurement team and where applicable drive and influence best practices. Prepare annual project planning to align the countries and region. Drive the implementation. Identify and implement solutions to ensure incremental cost reductions and cost avoidance opportunities through category knowledge by researching and understanding industry trends at the country and regional level. Work closely with the relevant teams in each country to assess, optimize and implement bid projects that align with functional team and other key functions strategic roadmap. Required: Minimum two years of experience in Business Services/Marketing strategic sourcing and management. Fluent in English is a must, it would be nice to have to be fluent in French. Proficiency with establishing contracts, monitoring performance and issue resolution. Ability to act with autonomy. Ability to analyze data and to apply strategic frameworks for continual development. Strong purchasing and project leadership skills. Ability to use relevant tools to create reverse auctions and RFPs and manage vendor responses and bids to help maximize value.
