This role offers the opportunity to develop next-generation products and technologies for the automotive industry.As an individual contributor to the Electrification Center of Excellence (eCOE), the System Architect will be responsible for:Owning EE system architecture design activities for active projects, including participating in technical discussions with customers regarding EE system requirements, understanding, challenging, and proposing alternatives.Defining and proposing electric system architecture alternatives based on stakeholder requirements, including end customers and internal stakeholders (product level, manufacturing), safety, and security requirements.Selecting the optimal architecture through tradeoff studies considering stakeholder requirements, cost, timing, risk mitigation, and reusability, and documenting the justifications for the chosen architecture.Ensuring the defined architecture cascades system requirements to system elements through design decisions, including dynamic behavior and interface definitions, in collaboration with domain experts (Controls, Hardware, Software, Electric Machine).Considering all aspects impacting architecture during and after definition, including functional safety, risk analysis outputs, and change request impacts.Overseeing and supervising the development team, working closely with element owners to ensure the design meets architecture and system requirements, and supporting EE system engineering processes (Aspice, ISO 26262, FMEAs, Functional Analysis).Qualifications:M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering.5 to 10 years of experience in electrical systems architectural design and embedded systems development, with technical leadership in complex HW, embedded software, and mechanical system architecture.Expertise in EE systems architecture design.A broad perspective and cross-functional mindset, with experience or references in software and hardware engineering activities.Experience with systems engineering methods, including functional analysis, risk analysis via FMEA/FTA, and safety analysis.#J-18808-Ljbffr
