Description Along with performing as a staff Medical Assistant, the Clinical Lead (MA) is responsible for providing technical support to Medical Assistant staff in a clinic site or physician module to include training, assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures, management of day-to-day staff coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care, staff performance management, and to serve as a mentor to staff. The Clinical Lead is responsible for covering multiple positions and departments, as well as mentoring new and existing staff on clinical processes and procedures. This position will be responsible for review of new and existing staff documentation and charge documents for completion and accuracy. The individual will practice within the scope of a Medical Assistant and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.Qualifications Required Education/ Experience/Specialized Skills: 3-5 years experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Assistant; previous training experience and leadership skills. Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions Required Certification/Registration: Certified as a Medical Assistant & current BLS Scripps Health is an equal opportunity employer.
