Freelance - Hardware Engineer - Ghent
We''re currently expanding our Hardware Engineering group with someone who brings a pragmatic mindset and a passion for reliable, scalable electronics.
Your tasks:
- Design and test PCBs using Altium, OrCAD, or Mentor
- Work with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and embedded platforms (ARM, RTOS, C/C++)
- Run diagnostics with oscilloscopes, perform EMC testing, and support firmware teams
Your Profile:
- Proven experience using FPGAs
- Knowledge of PCB Design: Altium, Zuken, OrCAD, Mentor
- Testing & Debugging: Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, EMC test setups
- Experience in industrial control environments (e.g., PLC systems, TIA Portal, TwinCAT)
- Familiarity with embedded Linux, Yocto, or custom kernel configurations
- Exposure to ASIC/FPGA design optimization and power electronics prototyping
