The Design HSE Engineer participates in all activities of the Design HSE engineering discipline within offers, projects, and studies under the supervision of the Design HSE Manager or Leader.He/She possesses specific expertise in process safety design and risk analysis, with well-referenced knowledge of:Safety design (e.g., compliance with HSE legislation, standards, norms, layout spacing, spill containment)Hazard analysis techniques (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA)Consequence and risk analyses (QRA, FERA, BRA, ERA, ESSA), including software tools (TNO Effects, DNV Phast, etc.)Active and Passive Fire protection (e.g., F&G, firefighting, fireproofing design, hazardous area classification)Fire and Gas detection and alarm systemsEnvironmental protection (e.g., BAT compliance, emission limits, noise studies)Under the guidance of the Design HSE Manager or Leader, the engineer will be responsible for:Ensuring design HSE requirements are met throughout the project lifecycleParticipating in design HSE reviews, audits, risk assessments, and studiesPreparing and reviewing HSE documentation such as specifications, procedures, reports, manualsLiaising with stakeholders (engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, authorities) on HSE issuesImplementing HSE best practices and lessons learnedParticipating in field surveys or assistance related to HSE engineering subjectsStaying updated on technical improvements in the disciplineRelevant SkillsStrong knowledge of process safety and HSE engineering design, including consequence and risk analysis, fire protection, and environmental protection.Leadership qualities, curiosity, open-mindedness, self-management, problem-solving skills, teamwork, professionalism, and work ethic.Knowledge/Certification RequirementsEngineering degree focusing on risk analysis or loss prevention, especially in Oil & Gas, Chemical, and Petrochemical industriesExperience with common risk analysis methodologies and relevant commercial software#J-18808-Ljbffr
