Are you an experienced finance professional fluent in Danish? Join Hoshizaki Europe B.V. in a key role supporting our Scandinavian operations from our EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam!
About the Role
As a Branch Accountant, you will be the go-to finance expert for our Scandinavian branch, ensuring all accounting, reporting, and compliance activities are completed accurately and on time.
You''ll handle a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including:
- Completing monthly closings: journal entries, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations
- Managing cash, bank, AR/AP, and expense processes
- Preparing financial reports and margin analyses to support strategic decisions
- Supporting VAT, CIT, and statutory reporting requirements
- Overseeing internal controls and supporting JSOX audits
- Partnering with Finance Specialists and the Branch Manager for accurate financial oversight
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain international experience and contribute directly to financial process improvement within our growing European operations.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in GL accounting
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and verbal)
- ACCA, CIMA, or CPA certification (or part-qualified) is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work independently and in teams
