The Quality Engineer is responsible for the quality control of Technical Product Information according to writing guidelines and norms
This includes but is not limited to monitoring and inspecting content; working closely with the Tech-nical Writers in the team; reporting on all quality-related issues and training of Technical Writers.
This is where you''ll excel
- You oversee the correction and review of documentation created by the local Technical Writers.
- You establish, improve and update writing guidelines for English content creation.
- You troubleshoot issues with technical writers, create effective solutions, and ensure proper support for the Technical Writers in the team.
- You assume the responsibility for quality and standards as an ambassador.
- You assume responsibility for creating and updating documentation included with products based on norms and company-internal standards.
- You coach and mentor junior technical writers and onboarders across different businesses and conduct training courses for new onboarders.
- You complete timely and accurate audits; report on findings.
- You ensure all relevant regulations, work rules, and quality procedures are followed on the department.
These are the skills you''ll need
- You possess a high level of technical expertise.
- You have advanced user knowledge in XML-based editing systems, preferably ST4 and have knowledge of media editing.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
- You focus on service and customer-orientation and a commitment to quality.
- You can work on a team and independently, and have good communication skills, and a sociable demeanour.
- You are willing to work with international teams, with sound intercultural skills & understanding.
- You have the ability to convey difficult concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
- 10 15 % of travel for onsite training.
