Ports & Maritime Project Engineer, GenoaRINA is currently recruiting for a Ports & Maritime Project Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Infrastructure Division.MissionThe Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design and technical oversight of engineering projects. This position requires a proactive thinker who can plan, schedule, and manage key technical aspects of projects while ensuring accuracy and high-quality outcomes. The Project Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a member of the project team.Key AccountabilitiesProject Execution and Technical Oversight: Support the Project Engineer in overseeing all technical aspects of engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Collaboration and Coordination: Provide day-to-day support to the Project Engineer and maintain effective communication within the project team.Client Relationship Management: Assist in managing client relationships, addressing change orders, claims, and ensuring client satisfaction.Technical Competency Development: Collaborate with PE and operations management to facilitate project coordination and execution, minimizing operational impact.Project Reporting and Documentation: Assist in defining resources, assets, and tools for project execution; support the preparation of comprehensive project reports for senior management; ensure timely and accurate reporting standards.Quality Management: Adhere to the Quality Policy and contribute to QMS improvements based on your role.Communication and Liaison: Support effective communication within the project team and relay relevant information promptly under PE coordination.QualificationsMasters Degree in Civil Engineering0 to 1 year experience in coastal engineeringProficient in project design tools and softwareKnowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standardsSolid understanding of FIDIC standardsProficient in EnglishCompetenciesAddress the way - Have a broad perspective and reinterpret situations accordinglyBuild network - Foster trust across departments and outside the organizationClient intimacy - Understand and meet client needs and expectationsEarn trust - Value diverse opinions and remain openMake effective decisions - Prioritize activities effectivelyManage emotions - Recognize and regulate emotional responsesPioneer change - Embrace and leverage changePromote sustainable development - Keep promises and serve as a role modelThink forward - Use past experiences to plan future actionsWith over 5,600 employees and 200 offices in 70 countries, RINA offers certification, marine classification, testing, supervision, inspection, training, and engineering consultancy services across various sectors.
