The Opportunity
As a Java Architect in the Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) Consulting team, you will contribute to multiple streams of BCM projects, collaborating within agile teams to achieve project and client objectives. You will play a key role in driving business transformations by leveraging advanced technology stacks and implementing innovative solutions alongside industry leaders. As part of a global team, you will work on international projects utilizing the latest data technologies and cloud platforms. Additionally, you will help grow and strengthen the BCM practice by engaging in sales, business development, and recruitment efforts in partnership with the broader BCM team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as an Architect and/or Technical Lead contributing to various technical streams within BCM implementation projects.
- Support the development of the Banking and Capital Markets competency across Poland and the EMEIA region.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with onsite coordinators and client technical stakeholders.
- Plan and oversee project deliverables for the team.
- Mentor and guide team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Be willing to travel to client locations as required.
- Participate in organization-wide people development initiatives.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Educational Background: BE/B.Tech/MCA/MSc or similar technical qualification.
- Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience in the banking domain (e.g., retail banking, corporate banking, mobile/internet banking, wealth management, payments).
- Core Technical Skills: Expertise in Java/JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Microservices, Web Services (REST & SOAP), Apache Camel (CXF), and Kafka.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred).
- Technical Design: Ability to design and deliver solutions for external integrations.
- Core Banking Knowledge: Understanding of core banking system architecture, administration, configuration, and data structure.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or other relevant technical fields.
- 9+ years of experience in IT roles within corporate environments, with similar responsibilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to effectively engage with business and technical stakeholders.
Ideally, Youll Also Have
- Certifications in relevant technologies: Java, Spring, SQL, AWS/Azure Cloud, Angular, or React.
- Business certifications demonstrating expertise in the banking domain.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in client-facing roles.
- Language skills in German, French, or Spanish (nice to have).
