About the Role
As Lead Data Scientist, you''ll spearhead high-impact analytics and machine learning initiatives, shaping the company''s strategic approach to everything from smart grid optimization to predictive maintenance. You''ll collaborate across engineering, operations, and business teams to turn complex data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts.
- Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics and ML models.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify business challenges and develop data-driven solutions.
- Ensure model deployment, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Drive innovation within the data science team and champion best practices.
- Communicate findings clearly in both Dutch and English to technical and non-technical audiences.
What You''ll Need
- Proven experience (5+ years) in data science, ideally within the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sector.
- Strong background in Python, SQL, cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP), and ML frameworks.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Fluency in Dutch (C1+) and English.
- A degree in a relevant field: Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
