Your role and responsibilities

As the Gearless Mill Drive (GMD) Service Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of service engineers to deliver comprehensive services to our customers, including remote and on-site support, installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, back-office engineering, consulting, retrofit engineering, customer training, and 24/7 support. You will formulate strategic plans, allocate resources, and ensure service delivery meets contractual and financial goals. Additionally, youll drive process improvements and strengthen team capabilities.

The role is hybrid and contributes to the GMD Business Line globally, collaborating with customers, local and global service teams, sales, project management, R&D, and quality teams. You will be responsible for leading the service engineering team, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and margin improvement. You will also mentor senior engineers and foster collaboration across regions.

Qualifications for the role

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in GMD, drive systems, or relevant sectors, with strong engineering leadership skills.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering tools and methodologies.
• Leadership skills focused on team development, process improvement, and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
