The Position
Quality Engineering Senior Lead

Roche is undergoing a significant strategic evolution to establish a benchmark for excellence in our IT Quality Engineering capabilities. Quality Engineering brings and evaluates Testing Validation together to the organization. We are seeking a highly accomplished and influential Quality Engineering Senior Lead (individual contributor role) to champion this critical endeavor. This principal-level role will be central to defining and driving enterprise-wide quality engineering strategies, leading complex cross-functional transformations, and cultivating a culture of unparalleled excellence across our global IT ecosystem.

Who you are:
- A highly experienced IT professional with a Master''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a similar discipline.
- You possess over 15 years of progressive experience in IT quality engineering, testing, validation, and compliance within highly regulated industries, including a significant portion in leadership roles.
- As an expert, you have substantial and demonstrable experience in leading large-scale, enterprise-wide transformational initiatives within complex organizations, with a strong track record of achieving significant and measurable strategic outcomes.
- Equipped with a deep and nuanced understanding of global pharmaceutical regulations (such as GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 1 Annex 11, MHRA), international quality standards, and evolving regulatory expectations.
- An individual with proven expertise in architecting and implementing advanced testing strategies that incorporate emerging technologies and automation paradigms, alongside extensive experience in developing and overseeing complex validation programs for critical IT systems across the enterprise.
- Exceptionally skilled in leading and influencing at the executive level, navigating complex organizational dynamics, and building consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, with outstanding strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities to translate business vision into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Proven leader in high-performing quality engineering and fostering innovation, experienced in implementing Agile and DevOps in regulated environments.
- Fluent in English at business professional level.
