Cortexia is the market leader in AI-powered solutions for environmental management, with a focus on urban cleanliness and waste management. As we accelerate our international expansion, we are looking for a CFO to join our leadership team.
As Chief Financial Officer, you will be the strategic link between financial planning and day-to-day operations. You will analyze our business needs, optimize financial processes, and ensure that resources are used efficiently, including taking direct responsibility for accounting operations. You will drive the implementation of financial processes, oversee budgeting, and play a critical role in fundraising initiatives. You will report directly to the CEO and collaborate closely with the Board of Directors.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a Start-up
Your responsibilities :
- Implement the financial strategy in alignment with company goals, including participation in funding rounds.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and the tracking of key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage accounting operations, payroll, and other administrative tasks while continuously improving financial and controlling processes.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity at all times, including analytical accounting to maintain the profitability of the business.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely annual financial statements, and compliance with Swiss tax and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax and legal advisors, and regulators to ensure compliance and strong external partnerships.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and shareholders.
What you bring :
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (, HEG, HEC, Swiss federal diploma).
- Several years of experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a fast-growing company, a SME or a fiduciary.
- Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, with the ability to align financial planning with business objectives.
- Proficiency in French and English; German is a plus.
- High adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment. Excellent communication skills
