Our client is a well-established logistics service provider with deep roots in the maritime cargo sector. With operations across multiple continents and a central presence in the Port of Antwerp, they are known for their entrepreneurial mindset, professional yet down-to-earth culture, and commitment to long-term partnerships.

They manage several entities within the logistics chain and continue to grow with finance playing a critical role in operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

The Role: Finance Manager

Location: Antwerp

Reporting to: CFO

Team: 13 finance professionals (3 direct reports)

In this role, you will lead the finance function for three cargo entities in Belgium. Youll set financial strategy, ensure compliance, manage reporting, and coach a strong local team all while staying hands-on and connected to the business.

You''ll act as a key bridge between HQ strategy and local execution, and play a vital role in shaping future growth through actionable financial insights.

What Youll Be Doing

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis proactively steering financial outcomes
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting (BE GAAP & IFRS)
• Translate group vision into local financial goals and monitor progress
• Manage cash flow, risks, and develop sustainable financial strategies
• Support internal and external audits, drive process improvements and system optimizations
• Coach and grow your team into a high-performing finance unit
• Be a strong sparring partner for senior management and operational leads

Who Were Looking For

Youre a solution-oriented leader with a strong financial backbone, but also a team player whos not afraid to get their boots dirty alongside the team. You balance structure with flexibility and love turning complexity into clarity.

You bring:

• A bachelor''s or masters degree in finance, economics or accounting
• Several years of experience as Finance Manager or in a comparable role
• Strong knowledge of BE GAAP, IFRS, SAP and Excel
• A proactive mindset and strategic thinking skills
• Fluency in Dutch and English (French is a plus)
• Sector experience in maritime or logistics? Thats a big asset
