We promote excellence in basic and applied research, including neuroscience, cognition, humanoid robotics, nanotechnology, and materials, fostering a multidisciplinary scientific environment.Your TeamThe research line is led by Dr. Lucia Beccai, specializing in bioinspired tactile sensing, bionics, biorobotics, and soft robotics. The goal is to develop embodied sensing technologies in soft robots, focusing on touch to enable them to perceive and interact with the environment intelligently, assisting humans.You will work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary team with engineers, material scientists, and computer scientists, utilizing advanced facilities.Your main responsibilities will include:Designing and developing hardware platforms for testing sensors, actuators, and robots;Supporting the fabrication and testing of soft sensors and actuators;Managing lab logistics, safety procedures, contacting providers, and purchasing equipment.Essential RequirementsMSc in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics;At least 2 years of professional laboratory experience;Hands-on experience with electromechanical setup design, assembly, and testing;Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB;Experience with electronic instruments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, data loggers;Knowledge of electronic and mechanical CAD software;Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams;Ability to organize and report research data effectively;Good command of spoken and written English.Additional SkillsPhD in related fields is a plus;Creative problem-solving skills;Good communication and time management skills.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary package, possibly including bonuses;Private healthcare coverage;Staff discounts;Two days of telework per week;Flexible working hours.Whats in for you?An inclusive, multicultural environment that values diversity;A collaborative atmosphere encouraging interaction across labs;An innovative culture aiming to impact society positively;Core values of integrity, courage, societal responsibility, and inclusivity guide our actions.If you are interested, please apply!#J-18808-Ljbffr
