Brunswick believes Next Never Rests, and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation.PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATIONS/CV IN ENGLISHThe successful candidate must be based in Southern Italy (South of Rome) or be willing to relocate.The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the achievement of the commercial targets in both the country and in their assigned territory (Southern Italy) by proper management of the Sales Team and the dealer network and by maximizing the sales and profits for the Mercury Marine brands (Mercury Outboard, Mercury Diesel and Mercury Mercruiser Inboard Motors; Parts and Accessories, including Quicksilver and Attwood and Quicksilver Inflatables) in line with agreed forecasts and budgets. This role is about strengthening Mercury positioning and share for the respective products, as well as providing support to reseller partners throughout the sales process in all sales-related activities, such as marketing, advertising, sales promotions and training to achieve revenue targets.Responsible for Marine Trade Area analysis within the scope:identifying where the regional strengths and weaknesses are and formulating plans to strengthen the dealer network. Develop the dealers within the assigned territory in their brand profile, sales and marketing activities, organisation and financial development, so that they may grow their business.Implement dealer network changes by evaluating prospective new dealers, from a retail, service, financial viewpoint to determine whether the dealer has the strengths required to operate effectively for the brand(s)Manage a dealer network by helping to identify and drive improvements in retail performance through improvements in merchandising, local marketing, including end consumer events, and CRM.Manage the dealer wholesale commitment process to maximize wholesales into the dealer, whilst properly taking into account the dealers inventory.Support the OEM business by matching the mercury dealer network with prioritized OEM dealer network.Actively manage dealer relationships in order to drive increasing brand loyalty and salesActively promote the brands to new and prospective dealers, to motivate and drive dealer interest and desire for the brands.To understand the changing customer requirements and market conditions and respond by influencing the development of services/products that meet customer needs.Maintain knowledge of overall marine market including market forces, consumer trends, product trends, growth trends, and regional national/differences with goal of identifying revenue growth opportunities.Maintain knowledge of existing product portfolio performance and trends including wholesale sales, retail sales, pipelineIdentifying the resolving issues with the dealer that are affecting retail performance, profitability or customer satisfaction and where appropriate, drive corrective actions with the support of the other Brunswick teams (Sales Admin, After Sales, Marketing etc)Enhance end user related processes to improve customer experienceMarket intelligence (competition, opportunities and trends)Ensuring the proper territory coverage finding new dealers or closing the low performersSupport marketing in terms of local language proof reading, boat shows organization, dealer meetings and press testMonitor market retail activity and market wholesales activity within the assigned areaCan participate in projects that improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force across EMEASkills & KnowledgeExperience:- minimum 5 years of field sales experience in a company with a dealer network structure- technical background and experience is an advantage, especially in the mechanics and electronics- Area & Country managementLanguages:-Italian native and good level of English, both written and spokenPositive attitude and open for new ideasCustomer orientationGood interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and writtenDisplays initiativeTeam spirit actively participate in sales, marketing and selected intercompany meetingsAbility to work independentlyAvailable for frequent travel in Italy.Stress resistantUsed to manage conflictsGood knowledge and use of Microsoft OfficeERP structuresDrivers licenseBoating license is a plusThis exciting position is a Global Grade 11 and offers a salary of between 38,500 to 56,000 (payable in 14 instalments).
