Junior Legal Expert at Savana
Major Accountabilities where this role is involved:
- Support the maintenance of the Groups master contracts database as well as their updates, translations, etc.
- Review of legal contractual matters affecting the operations of the Group.
- Review contractual and legal matters related to software/technology services (e.g. SaaS, PaaS,etc.).
- Support internal policies and processes execution regarding data privacy, amongst others, liaising and closely working with other departments with the aim of identifying potential risks.
- Follow up and management internal controls regarding data privacy.
- Follow up, preparation and assistance to meetings with third parties and clients.
- Prepare tasks reports solved by the Legal department and send them to the involved departments.
- Experience to manage and draft collaboration and/or partnership agreements for reseach projects.
- Experience in Privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
- Basic knowledge in handling Intellectual Property matters (e.g. trademarks, patents follow up).
- Basic knowledge in handling contracts related to clinical research (e.g. non- interventional studies, etc.)
- Practice to identify cross border legal issues.
- Assist with day-to-day management of legal and compliance matters.
- Operate in compliance with Security Policies, Procedures and Manuals.
- Report any suspect of incident or improvement proposals.
- Support on the DPO functions (e.g. privacy pills, data protection rights exercise, etc.)
- Manage the compliance with CAPAs and internal JIRA Controls.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications required:
- Degree in Law and Master in accessing the legal profession (when required by law).
- Specialized Master or advanced program in IP, Data protection and /or new technologies and or Healthcare/Pharma regulatory fields will be positively valued.
- 2 years of previous experience as an in-house attorney and/or in a renowned Law Firm.
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property will be positively valued.
- Knowledge of Healthcare and Pharmaceutical regulations (EMA/FDA) will be positively valued.
- Attention to detail and results driven.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Fluency in English is a must, both verbal and written minimum C1 (Advanced) level.
- Ability to communicate with different teams and work together towards a same goal.
- Ability to work well within a team or alone.
